A wild vacations center, modern with ideas not only related to tourism, but also dedicated to the preservation of the environment, including flora & fauna, culture, habits and the mysticism of the Great Isle of Chiloé.

Hotel Caulín offers various programs, always intending to preserve nature’s equilibrium and thus focusing on an environmentally friendly tourism.

The rustic farm Los Cisnes (The Swans) is a place run by a German family who settled in this area 40 years ago. On this farm you can experience the breeding of Hereford cattle, the plumming of living geese and the making of down products from "Plumón" (downs=very soft feathers). Besides, you will be able to learn about Helix Aspersa Müller snails, and pasion chickens' breeding, pon pon (sphagnum moss) drying process, etc. among many other countryside activities.

The bay of Caulín is a native place, not widely known and thus the main reason for its tranquility and peace. These qualities as well as the highest level of security we are proud to offer to our guests.

All the water consumed at the Caulín Tourist Center is provided exclusively with our own wells. These wells are not so deep, in order to avoid cutting the waterproof layers that stop salt water from entering these wells.

The Caulín Tourist Center consists of 14 comfortably equipped cabins, kept simple but very cozy, ranging 6 to 8 beds, with excellent views of the sea as of the forrests. The cabins are provided with refrigerators, stove, hot water, cancagua fire places (made from rustic stone), dishes for 6 to 8 persons, towels and sheets (changed once a week). The 6 person-cabins have two bedrooms, one bathroom and a living room with an American kitchenette.

The cabins are not provided with maid assistance, but convenient additional service can be solicited apart.

Go through the Valdivian forrests and discover flora & fauna in their own environment! Enjoy the beach, the pool with infantile games, fly-fishing, tennis, Finland sauna, thalassotherapy pools, corporal massages, seafood dinner gatherings, horseriding along the beaches and the countryside ... and these are only a few of the various activities you are able to do!.

Our guests will be able to participate in typical farm activities, such as cattle and oxen's yoke handling, live geese plucking, fence repairing, etc.
